Welcome to the Dig!

Before we officially break ground on Tuesday with a bread and breakfast double feature, I thought I’d let any wayward travelers in on what to expect from my upcoming posts.

Kitchen Excavation’s current schedule will be revolving around my own needs as a hungry college grad whose budget falls far short of his appetite. This means that every Tuesday I’ll be showcasing the history and recipe for what I’ve made to help me eat my way through the week (typically a loaf of bread or a long-lasting breakfast). But, since man can not live on bread alone, I’ll also be debuting an inexpensive technique, skill, or recipe every Saturday that can add a creative, historic, or just plain delicious addition to your menu!

I hope you’ll join us this Tuesday for Bread and Breakfast, where we’ll be looking into recipes and ingredients that date back over 30,000 years!

Welcome to the dig!
